I have been looking for wap sites or simple text sites that would work with my SonyEricsson K610i phone - now in year 2025.
I know one Estonian (my homeland) weather website that works. Esato also works, although it no longer allows you to post from your old phone. A search site like FrogFind also opens, but it doesn't work correctly on my old phone. Absolutely can't open text based neuters.de and lite.cnn.com.
Does anyone know of any wap sites (such as news) that still work?

That's a good question indeed. Not sure if the sites aren't working anymore because of https and old certificates.
Plus, you know that websites offer you a lot of ads. WAP sites won't let them do this because it's not suitable for the pages maybe.

It would be great to have a directory of working WAP sites! Even better to have an old school phone which supports these. Maybe I should go hunting on eBay or Amazon?
