Mga bro ask lang ako ng info o balita tungkol sa GPRS Connection ng Globe . Nakakainis na kasi , di ko na magamit yung phone ko to visit ESATO Forum using my cellphone , palaging "Site temporarily unavailable at this moment". I try to search the forum about this topic pero wala akong makita.

@bob- yun Smart walang free gprs. chances are you are using Globe's free GPRS APN, i.e. www.globe.com.ph. meron site blocking sa free APN.
if you want, you can try changing that APN to internet.globe.com.ph, you will be charged P0.25c/kB... and you should be able to access any wapsite. |

Guys, changing the APN from "www.globe.com.ph" to "internet.globe.com.ph" dont work!?? the error message i got sez
"parameter not supported"........one of my friend sez i can access Esato thru Wap only, so i use my phone wap setting instead of GPRS setting and viola! i did it last night..... so if you're like me( on Globe Pre-paid) having the same problem accessing Esato thru GPRS , just use the wap setting on your T68i , and you will be charged for the time used......

i think what you mean is accessing Esato using CSD.
two ways to access WAP. GPRS and GSM (CSD). in GPRS you get charged by the kilobyte. in CSD you get charged by the minute. |

@bob- just makin things clear. anyway, wap browsing over CSD is like calling someone at offpeak rates.
Globe's GPRS is like a 32kbps-40kbps connection using a faxmodem.
1MB of data (at P0.25/kB) costs P250. however, at about 9600bps using CSD (that's a transfer rate of about 1.2kB/sec), 1MB of data costs theoretically costs P41.60 only!
