...well actually, I had hoped for users in ireland as there is little support in this country for SE users ...as I said Nokia is huge here and most support desks do not have a clue !!!
******nice picture of a sod / piece of turf Pitta Baainens, cant understand it's relevance but well.....!!!!!

Even though i am not irish, i do study here and spend 9/12 months around dublin.
Its true, there are more nokia phones on the streets around here than anywhere else.
Also, Irish mobile industry sucks. no good price plans and everything is over inflated.
i felt so happy the other day when i saw the only sony ericsson being sold: the t68i and it is €499 on pay as u go.
man... anywhere else its even cheaper sim free.
and to make it worse, the 7250 is less expensive sim free, which would make more people go for the nokias rather than the SE.
to my opinion, SE rocks... where would u get a phone that's triband, has gprs, bluetooth, IR, wap, and (Even though a 256 colour screen) still a colour screen?
go SE!

Yeah its impossible to get SE phones/accessories in Ireland,I have to got the UK to get them, but that should be changing.
Vodafone are such muppets, they wouldnt let me use MMS because the T610 isnt approved, so i rang them up 10 minutes later and said i had a T68i and they turned MMS on in my profile.
They are such loosers.
Can you get insurance on your SE phone in Ireland?
Vodafone wont insure anything besides a T68i because they arent approved

One of my mates has a T68 and he had terrible trouble with Sigma (I think) they kept putting on the T68 SW on his phone instead of T68i.
He eventually sent it to the UK to get it upgraded.
I have gotten firmware upgrades from SE in Europe as i do a bit of travelling.
I think Se are trying to relaunch in Ireland, but im not too sure how its going. Not too good i would guess if the T610 was in the vodafone brochure to be released in the summer and the last time i asking VF they said it was still in "testing"
Why dont you buy stuff from the SE Eshop, thats where i get most of my things from.

I think the reason was because we got a bad batch of T10's and the resellers were getting pissed off having people coming in and getting them fixed.
Also SE phones were more expensive that Nokia to buy SIM Free so the operators over here decided to buy cheaper phones.
Another lad in an 02 shop told me that SE only ship in certain quantites and that 02 didnt want a load of SE phones that they mighten be able to sell.
I think it was for these reasons and more that the operators stopped selling SE phones.
But Meteor used to sell T39 and just checked there they are still selling the T68i.
The Operators in Ireland are screwing us bring time, its nearly like a cartel or something.
Like sending a text outside of Ireland cost 25 cent on both 02 & VF, I know for VF up to last year it cost the same as sending a text within ireland. The strange thing is 02 have also appeared to do the same thing as well. I think its just very suspicious.
Its no wonder that per head VF make more money on Irish customers than any other country by a LONG LONG way |
