Discreet Esato browsing. |

Read on another thread about this tool called the "Esato bar" I guess which I didn't know it existed. Anyway, using that page I wrote a small spreadsheet that makes browsing even more discreet. I made two versions one for OpenOffice and another one for Excel, it refreshes every one minute. You can download them here.
Hope it helps someone...

Please explain more about how this makes browsing Esato "more discreet".

OK, maybe the actual browsing of the threads it doesn't. It does make monitoring active threads more discreet. I figure since you don't have a browser open it makes it more discreet, or is my hangover impairing my ability to think? |

Well I did try the excel one but received this warning...
"This workbook contains queries to external data that refresh automatically.
Queries are used to import external data into Excel, but harmful queries can be used to access confidential information or write information back to a database."
So without knowing you personally, and with all due respect, I would be a little cautious to use this of course, and will stick with the known Esato pages which I do trust.

@masseur, no offence taken perfectly understand your suspition.
On the query, if you disable it when you open the spreadsheet, and select from the menus, Data - Get External Data - Edit Query, you will see that the only place where the query point is to: http://www.esato.com/iesearch.php which is the "Esato Bar" page.
On another note, you are a freelancer too, right? So you don't actually need this either. |

Not so much checking up, more so an inexplicable ability to remember useless information. Read this a few days ago. |

Well this post doesn't seem to go anywhere, so here is the explanation:
What I did was use that [ url ] bb code statement, instead of posting the actual querystring.
Note how I switched the last value "start=" from 0 to 9, so it would actually show Masseurs post first. There is actually a better way of doing this, by using a value where you tell the actual post rather than the thread, but I couldn't remember how to do it.
