SE confirms new phones on march 9th 2004 |

Sony Ericsson President Katsumi Ihara confirmed to swedish news agency today that "Several new products will be presented on march 9th" He also said SE focus for 2004 is to introduce products that move from 2,5 G to 3G (that is from GPRS to EDGE to UMTS/WCDMA). He moved on by saying that SEs succesfull profit trend from 3Q/4Q 2003 is looking to continue in 2004. He said the Z1010 will be launched next month. Ha agreed that SE was a little bit late to the market with 3G phones but said they wanted to have the best 3G product on the market, which he said the Z1010 would be. Finaly he said that SE products with Push-to-talk function will be presented shortly. And they will be out on the USA-market i Q2 and in Europe as soon as the operators will support the service. So i guess we just have to wait for march 9th!
Did you now there are two people in Sweden actually named Sony Ericsson? |

so i guess the chance that we will see a rugged phone is higher than ever - nokias push to talk phone was also a rugged one, i don't know if this rumoured siemens rugged phone also has push-to-talk ... but i guess we will see on march 9th |

I am having some problems. I was soon to get a new T610 because i was switching services. Anyways, it will cost me 110 dollars (75 for the phone + 35 dollar activiation) Now since i hear about the new T650. Should i save this 110$ and wait for the T650 or go ahead and get the T610.
And another thing. If it will come out, how do you guys estimate it will be costing in USD. Or if you dont know. Guess if itwill be over or less than 500. |

If you will wait for rumored phones, then you will never buy a new one. But if I was you i would buy T630 and not the T610. Then you can always sell it and buy a new one.

hah! let's start the guessing game again!
'push-to-talk' is a 'walkie-talkie' like function on a phone... partivcularly popular in the US... I do believe they can PTT nationwide now (dunno how though) and that is free talk time
