shouldn't you at least give the link to where you saw it?
and while its a good find, do we really need "where to buy duo cheap" threads created every week. can we please just have one thread and keep updating it with the latest places and prices please. they always end up with a repitition of amazone, ebay etc
lets use this one from now. thanks!

Bad news guys! It might seem cheap but anything over 18quid from outside the EU is subject to custom charge and can work out more expensive! I ordered some boxed set DVDs from the US and was walloped with a 18 quid charge clearance fee plus 6 quid VAT for a $49.99 dvds! You have been warned! Dont forget if your paying by credit card there is also a 1-2% surcharge too in the currency conversion fee as well. |

but isn't that only for the us? |

No its for all countries outside the EU. Its to allow fair competition for EU sites with its competitors who don't have VAT. The recommended site links to a US site too. Just found out that this site only accepts amex cards outside the US which makes ordering it tricky! anyone want to give out their amex card number |

Now then I did some quick calculations and it still works out cheaper than anywhere in the UK. Thats with vat and the charges. But fair point. In this case though I think its a winner, particularly if you buy in bulk, they also do discounts if you buy 6 or more, though you have to rin them first. I am going to save about 60 quid all in all.
which is nice
I am getting a relative to buy them for me, so the charges are lower, jammy!

i have read a lot about these so called discont stores as i was planning to buy a camcorder on my trip to the US. before i considered any store i always checked its reviews on www.bizrate.com
For the review on this store see: Discout Jungle Review
These shops usually employ a bait and switch policy where they attract you by posting a cheap price and then when you try to order firstly they may charge excessive delivery rates, but the main ploy is to offer certain accessories, e.g. maybe a card reader. Which if you dont purchase at there inflated rates mainly results in the supplier suddenly having no stock left. As these shops normally only deliver to the US this is all done over the phone so there is pressure selling. BUT this may not always be the case.
My advice always check out the shop you are planning to buy from and if its too good to be true then BLAH.
Disclaimer: I may be completley wrong as i havent personally made a purchase from this shop ever. |

i also noticed that the model of memory stick is the old type (MSGM128A). The white memory stick (i think) which has a lower transfer rate 20mbps opposed to 160 with the new blue memory sticks (MSHM128A). Although some people say this doesnt actually make that much of a difference. |
