Search on google for Midi Maestro or MMPoly. The first one is a 14 day trial version and the second one is freeware.

Do these allow the composition of midi files? Or are they file covertors? Cheers elrond

They are to compose new midi or editing it. I think, that MMPoly can convert files too. I have something with my WinXP and I can't install it, so I can't say, but Midi Meastro works great.
