I send a txt and it takes 15 minutes for someone to recive it I do a test by sending one to myself and i have not recieved it since 8p.m The only reason i am with them is because of the free texts but there is no point if the texts dont even get sent, or take 15 mins to Arrrrgggghhhh

You get what you pay for! O2 is cheaper but coverage is worse and i've only joined for a while. Idealy i'd have an orange contract but i dont know if i'm going to university in the republic yet.

Are there any other operators that offer free text messages on payandgo because i use more than 300 texts per month which would cost me 30GPB(i think, at 10p per message), but i get them free at the moment.
[edit] I was just texting some girl like half an hour ago and she only just recieved it and was wondering why i took so long to send it
If this doesnt get any better by Saturday im going to change.

I've had nothing but good service from orange. If your prepared to go on contract you can get one from orange by phone or the website and you get better deals than instore like 500txts a month etc. I mainly used them because they offered free wap for £4 a month. Any one know if this is still available

I think O2 is having a bit of a go-slow this evening! A mate texted me at 20.25 this evening, and I actually got the text at 23.00! Normally, texts sent/recieved are almost instantaneous.
I switched from O2 to Orange mainly because their signal is better where I live, but I would otherwise have stayed with Orange - they're similar pricewise - but calls/texts are a lot cheaper with Orange (you have to subscribe to O2's ITS service to get anywhere near Orange's roaming prices), customer services were always excellent, and you could get delivery reports on text messages without having to put that '*0#' at the start of the message!!
If Orange's signal was better where I live, I would probably switch back to them as soon as my contract came up. In fact, my old Orange contract number I got re-connected as a pay as you go to use in a spare phone!
Ergo, I recommend Orange to you, cheap(ish) but definitely cheerful. Failing that - have you thought about the 3 network? £15 topup on 3Pay gets you either 100 x-net minutes & 1.50 of video content, or 25 mins xnet mins & 100 SMS's, and £1.50 video content.
