Yeah, I was referring to P900.
Well, I entered my CDA which is 162003/11 and was told that the latest organiser is R5A09. Managed to do an online update, now just wanna check what comes with this update cos other than the time, I really can't spot any difference.
Anyone??
Cheers,
Anissa

Anissa,
there was a thread i'd read last week before i did my FW upgrade to R5A09. it did mention some of the new stuffs for this FW, about 8-10 items but nothing major really.
I did not save the thread, but you do a search on it. |

Your p900 comes with the HK chinese language, right? I'm having problems with my T9 not staying off once i opened and closed the flip. Can you check if this has been addressed?

pninehundred,
i did read a thread which has tons of replies in it, but since i did not save the link i can't provide it here.
i did remember someone in that thread pointed out some improvements and features for the FW.
if i come across it again, i will edit this and post it. meanwhile, try searching on FW upgrade... |

R5A09 is for the P900s with traditional chinese OS. The most obvious improvement is on the chinese encoding for the audio player, it can read the chinese music title now. Some people claimed that the bluetooth connection for BT headphones is improved. Not to worry too much if u are using the english version, I don't think you are missing anything. I am using a traditional chinese one with R5A09 installed, I don't feel much difference or improvement except the one I mentioned before. |

pninehundred,
What I meant was, the font showing the time is now bigger. At least I no longer have to strain my eyes just to read it Other than that, I really can't spot any difference. Oh yes, someone mentioned that the Chinese characters in MP3 can now be read and I had tried that out. It works indeed!!!
As for stability of the phone, it is still a little too early to tell cos I only updated it yesterday.
sfaguy,
I did try to do a search on the thread you mentioned but to no avail. But thanks anyway!

Hi Redisol,
Yeah, my P900 comes with the HK Chinese language. As to your question, I am afraid I don't quite get you but I tried this: With the flip closed, got into messages and tried to write with T9 off. Then I opened the flip and closed it again. T9 returned.
But I did notice one change in messages. Previously no matter how many times I switched the language to English, it will keep switching back to Chinese the next time I try to use it. Now the problem is resolved.
I have one question though ... When I am creating messages (with flip closed), I decided to open it to continue my writing ... the screen stayed. Then halfway through, I closed the flip again without exiting from the message page, it will automatically 'jump out' on its own. Is there a way to make the message page stays so that I can continue with my message? Anyone who knows this pls help. Thanks!!!

Annisa,
I have noticed one more problem. It seems that the phone sometimes decides to change the phone preference itself. There are several occasions that the phone decided to switch off the voice dial for me. Actually, I am a bit disappointed that the problems with chinese encoding for emails is not fixed in this case. |

I used to face one more problem with the phone. The ringtone will automatically changed to the SE default ringtone when I off and on the phone. It was frastrating having to change it back to the one I want whenever that happened. I am glad there is no more such problem now.
