If you want to send SMS from your PALM via the T68 and you want to backup your phonebook to the PALM or copy your phonebook to the T68 I found a nice application for doing so.
Have a look at http://www.fun4palm.com/english/produkte/mobilecomputing/default.htm and look at the features of funSMS and funbook.
You can download a fully working 30days version for testing.
