Package consists of the a) USB adapter itself b) extension cable c) CD driver d) Pamphlet disguised as a quick reference manual.

The full technical specs are here

I just got this adapter yesterday for US$ 50.

This is the cheapest bluetooth adapter I've found so far from the net, and one that is also locally available.

The driver that was included in the CD was several months old, I suggest that you immediately download the one from their website before you start the installation process if you're going to buy one.

Software installation is easy enough, but the configuration process is not very intuitive. I had some difficulty making several apps (GPRS connection, Phonebook & Text message Manager PBTM, Float's Mobile Agent) work at the same time. But eventually I did, but not after countless tweaking and reading (and re-reading) the help file (not the PDF version of the manual!).

Forget about the SMS/Contacts manager software that came with it. You're better off with the one that came from , the PBTM or my current favorite, Float's Mobile Agent. (see the software forum for threads related to these two.)

But once you get it to work, it works flawlessly (it is my T39's fault that it still reboots during GPRS sessions )

Would I recommend it to anyone? Yes, definitely!

Don't let the sh*tty PDF manual stop you from getting this good buy - a steal at US$ 50 when most adapters cost over US$120 (there's another cheap adapter from Tecom, but it's not available locally. Someone posted that a few months back). At least, the help file is very informative.

So gorgeous and so compact!
I think it just makes these 2 run and hide!!!
Tecom Bluetooth USB

TDK Bluetooth USB

I wonder how true is the 200m range claim?
Have you tested it, GOwin?
Another thing is wether it's USB v1.0 or v2.0, any idea?

@ShawO, the 200m claim is for the MS 6968 model - an add-on card for MSI mainboards with the bluetooth header. It's USB 1.1 compliant. @*, i am from pinas :-]

@jag
i got it from PC Corner, Gilmore street cor E. Rodriguez, QC. Near St. Paul's College for PhP 2600 (or US$ 50). I believe PC Express also sells them, but I didnt visit their store anymore as I was in a hurry then, and was only there to buy the adapter.

@cadcad
am not sure if those stores deliver internationally (i think they dont), but you can check out the local distributors in your country for MSI products (they're well known for motherboards, so you got to look for shops that sell PC parts)
