The new Sony Ericsson K750 2 Megapixel camera phone delivers sharp pictures with great print quality
01 March 2005
London – The Sony Ericsson K750, announced today, is a 2 Megapixel imaging phone that captures the sharpest, clearest pictures with superb colour reproduction for printing, sharing and viewing. This phone also delivers fast, open connectivity and contains a generous memory to make it simple for users to store and share their favourite images. Such imaging excellence combined with a rich suite of business, entertainment and communication features, makes the K750 the ideal companion for a busy working and social life.
“Nowadays 65% of Sony Ericsson’s consumers are choosing phones with cameras in them, which shows that there is significant demand for phones to be used as imaging tools,” says Jan Wäreby, Corporate Executive, Vice President and Head of Sales and Marketing of Sony Ericsson. “What’s more we are successfully applying Sony’s imaging expertise to the development of camera phones, a key example of this being the S700, which is receiving awards for its imaging capabilities time after time. The K750 builds on this, and given the enthusiastic response to our imaging products we have already received from the market, we fully expect it to be an outright winner.”
Following on from the success of last year’s S700, Sony Ericsson has once again built upon the colossal imaging know-how of its parent company Sony Corporation. The K750 is rich with features that are now common in stand alone digital cameras but new to mobile phones, such as Autofocus, 4x digital zoom, red eye reduction and an intuitive user interface. The camera operates horizontally for stable, well framed shots. If used with the Sony Ericsson PhoneFlash MXE-60 it is possible to take pictures in the dark from several meters away and it also helps reducing red eye.
Images can be shared with a host of other devices thanks to Memory Stick Duo, Bluetooth and Infrared. Also a USB cable comes with the phone for fast transfer of pictures, video and music to and from a PC. There’s no need to use a PC to print photos as images can be sent wirelessly to a Bluetooth printer or they can be transferred via a Memory Stick to a compatible printer or to a high street photo kiosk. In combination with the Bluetooth Media Centre MMV-200, the K750 can be used to view pictures and videos on a TV screen and easily share them with friends and family in a fun and entertaining way.
The K750 can store a sizeable picture library as memory is plentiful and expandable. Featuring an internal 32MB memory, which can hold nearly 100 full size pictures and an external memory slot which accepts Memory Stick Duo up to 2GB, enough for more than 6,000 shots. A 64MB Memory Stick Duo is supplied with the phone.
The business tools designed into the K750 make it the ideal working companion and will appeal to companies looking to provide their workforce with a fully featured mobile phones that deliver fast rates of data and image transfer.
Meanwhile, away from the office the K750 provides a great amount of fun and entertainment. Fast and smooth games play is assured with the 3D Java games engine while the integrated MP3 player and FM radio provide music and entertainment with great sound quality.
Users with a creative urge will love the K750 for its host of onboard tools for personalising the phone and mixing video, stills, sound and text. VideoDJ™ allows users to create their own animations; PhotoDJ™ is a simple photo editor for enhancing shots; PlayNow™ enables users to download fresh new music tones direct to their phone and personalised ringtones and sound effects can be created with MusicDJ.
The K750 is available in black and silver and will be on sale from Q2.

oh christ.....
i think it's clear that se doesn't want to put too much effort into edge, heck the ONLY phone z500 was cancelled,
but if you ran through the specs looking for bad things then i guess you can be happy
it's an excellent gsm phone in a small package,
if you want faster data speeds with se phones then check out z800 and k600 which are imho one of the best 3g phones, bu really i think we just shouldn't espect edge from se,
i don't want to stard yet another edge vs umts war but imho almost all operators now have umts, here the coverage is now more than 80% so i personally don't see the point in edge but sure you may need it...
