Sony Ericsson’s J300 is the fun phone that entertains and inspires
01 March 2005
London – The fashion conscious and young-at-heart looking for a hot new phone with the coolest entertainment features will love the J300, a slim, curvy mobile phone announced by Sony Ericsson today. The J300 is unique as it provides a 3D gaming engine and easy downloads of video clips, games and ringtones at an entry-level price. There are also stacks of ways to get creative by composing ringtones, creating wallpapers and restyling the phone from a colourful selection of Style-up™ covers.
Available in pink, black or white, the J300 is sure to win the hearts of anyone looking for an always-with-you phone for entertainment and socialising. If pink, black or white aren’t hot enough, then owners can further personalize the J300 with a choice of Style-up™ covers in a variety of designs that range from ultra-stylish to completely zany. The ability to download wallpapers, screensavers and the latest personal ringtones means the J300 can be personalized according to mood, fashion or personal taste. Music files can be downloaded for ringtones, as can video clips of movie trailers and music videos.
“If you are looking for a fresh new phone at a thrifty price, you don’t need to be restricted only to basic games,” says Jan Wäreby, Corporate Executive, Vice President and Head of Sales and Marketing of Sony Ericsson. “The J300 offers a fantastic gaming experience in both 2D and 3D, including the famous Rayman® 3, and it handles fast moving action, rich graphics and glorious colours, but it’s also a great phone for voice and text communications.”
Cooperating with leading mobile game developer Gameloft, Sony Ericsson is providing J300 owners with a free game download of Rayman® 3 via Sony Ericsson’s PlayNow™ content download service. Sony Ericsson’s PlayNow™ service offer users the ability to prelisten and download fresh new musictones direct to their phone in just three clicks. A range of branded games from a number of major game publishers will now be available on PlayNow™ for the launch of the J300. 2D and 3D games and other content for the J300 will also be available from operator’s download services.
The J300 will be available starting in Q2 2005.
The J300 will come in the following editions:
J300i - Dual Band GSM 900/1800 MHz
