Im not sure if its just my phone But I have noticed that the Reception doesnt seem to be as good as the K700i or it shows a true'r signal.
My T610 had quiet poor reception, but when i received a K700i the reception was superb. Very little in drop calls all together. However in receiving my K750i this morn, I have noticed that the signal doesnt seem to be as good. That doesnt meen i dont have a signal it just displays one or 2 bars less than the k700 but 1 more the t610?
I have tried this is various of places so as any body else noticed this ?

I have also compare it to the S700 and noticed the same.
I wonder if its a firmware problem? |

Oh good, Lets start a petition and send that to SE too.

Hmmm Sweet Thought this!
BTW- I checked with my guy @ a SE Serv Cntr n He said that FW upgrade by itself wont mke much diff. for signal boost.
He also said unbranded or branded duzn't make a diff. either!
Then again, here in India we hardly have SIM locked GSM phones (1 in Zillion)to be soo sure.
My S700 has ok reception mostly, but Call Initiation is- dekcuf pu

My reception sucks, as always, but I am noticing slightly less bars than on the S700 - whether its worse, or just a more honest signal meter, who knows?

Well after doing a little more using of my phone, well infact alot more. It seesmt o be that the Reception is on par with the K700, just that the phone shows the real signal of the network. I have been able to use the phone in all areas (Poor to no coverage) areas where i could use the K700 and not able to use the T610.
I will monitor it closely tho. |

Well Today, i know no that there is something wrong with the reception on the phone.
I have been out on my motor bike and been to a place where there is little or no signal at all. K700i found a singal but did loose it on occasions.
The k750i showed nothing. So i searched for the network and Orange showed as a Ava, I selected it, and that was fine. 30 secs it went of and again never found it again. I searched and it was there. I was there for over hour and i searched 35 times, every time the Orange was there. But as soon as you clicked on it and the name came up. It just vanished again. So on last attempt i found the network and made a call. Call never dropped once, soon as i cancelled the call. The network vanished. Its like the phone sees the network but doesnt know what to do with itm so doesnt display it.
Another problem. (Ive noticed while in th car), i have received 2 calls in the car (on handsfree) while driving and on both occasion the phone has lost the call. Problem? Well yes. I have never had the problem on any of my handsets before. And using the K700i in the same locations works with out a problem. Network fault (I dont think so) I dont think that the handset can transfer over to the next base station quick enough. As when the call cuts out, the signal then shows from 1 to 5 bars again.
I dont know if a software will fix this fault, but so far im not impressed.
Even my T610 managed better reception than this.
I even have problems in sending SMS on occasions wite 1 bar on the phone. |

Sitting at my desk at work, on my Moto v600 I got between 2-3 bars. With this T-Mobile D750i I have full strength |

Well i dont know then if i have a problem. But other people are repoting the same as me. now
I have sent a message to se regarding this. Just waiting for the reply.
Dear Sony Ericsson.
I recently emailed you regarding the reception problems I am having with my K750i.
I did receive an email back saying take it back to the shop.
I think you miss understood my self.
The problem just doesn’t relate to my phone. Quiet a few people are reporting the same problem as my self. The reception is poor on the phone.
Also there is another problem which I think it’s a firmware fault.
I have been able to test various locations in the UK and can confirm that the K750i will always cut of if and when making a call.
1, In 2 locations where the K700 would pick a signal up, the K750 doesn’t. Strange but when you manual search the network is there. You make the call and soon as you cancel the call the network is gone. Again you have to search if you want to make a call. The phone can see the network just doesn’t know what to do with it.
2, The K750 seems to struggle to hand the calls over to the next phone mast in the area. I have tried both phones together and they both got down to 1 or 2 on the signal bar (Neither of them ever loose the signal) However the K750 shuts the call down, the K700 carries on and holds the signal, you see both phones at the same time transfer over to the next mast because all of a sudden the signal comes back to full or 4.
I am on Orange, but people are reporting the same problem on 02, and Generic K750i.
I have done the firmware update on Monday of this week, so I am all ready have the latest revision of software running. This has stopped the constant crashing but not resolved this.
I know that 02 have recalled the phones for the software update but I think there seems to be a problem with either the handset or the firmware again. I am also having problems in sending sms. I have never had as many unsuccessful sms to be sent, regardless of signal strength. Orange have sent me more sim updates than everything, But again other people are saying the same about there phones.
I await your response.
So I will wait |
