That is ridiculously thin, I'd be scared of bending it in my pocket ! For $40 it must be a very basic phone, but it'd be great as a spare. |

It would be very good if SE would start thinking about thin phones too!
Remember old R320?

but it should be small as wel as thin. The V3 is thin, but too long and wide for my liking.

Considering its cost, look and light weight this may have an attraction.

Yeah! I'm sure its gonna sell for $40! $400 more like. The only phone I know that sells for $40 is the sendo S330, and that has no technology in it.

Hey I bought my first T100 for € 70 and sold it for € 50 and I bought a T105 for € 50. It has lot's of technology! I can go on wap (dial-in), I can call and even receive calls and I can sms! It even has 5 games! It has a calender, timer, alarm, 20 wallpapers and 20 ringtones and on and on, oops I think that is it.

yeah i'd go with WAFR rather than Scalpel.
for 40 dollars I'd buy a couple and throw them around the home for the family to pick up and take out when in a rush to go out.

Last year there was a rumor about Motorola Scalpel slim phone which was said to be released in 2006. Ron Garriques told Reuters news that the they are now preparing the phone and is scheduled it for release next year.
Reuters Article
Ron Garriques, who heads Motorola's biggest division, said the range would be called the SCPL, pronounced \"scalpel.\" He did not give any details beyond describing the phones as thinner and with five features that would stand out from rival phones.
