HTC expect boost in revenue in 2nd quarter due to demand for the One-series smartphones

The Taiwanese company saw a 70% drop in revenue compared to the first quarter last year. In Q1 2011 HTC had a net income of NT$14.83 billion and this decreased to NT$4.46 billion (US$151 billion) during the first quarter this year. Revenue during the period also sank from NT$104 billion to NT$67 billion. HTC CEO Peter Chou said in a statement today that
